This policy outlines how Catalina Developments Pty Ltd (“Catalina”) collects, stores, uses and discloses personal information (the “Policy”). The purpose of the Policy is to assure anyone who interacts or does business with Catalina that Catalina will use its best endeavours to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the “Act”).

The principles are designed to protect the privacy of individuals by regulating the way entities handle personal information.

Personal Information - Storage and Security

Catalina will take reasonable steps to protect personal information that it collects and to ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date.

The Catalina electronic database is held on a secure server system domiciled in Australia with strict access controls. The Catalina electronic database can only be accessed by Directors of Catalina and/or third party database contractors. During the collection of your personal information some data is recorded in hardcopy forms. These forms are stored in secure facilities at the location of the data collection, such as a display centre.

Personal Information - Access To and Correction

Customers have a right to request access to personal information about them held by Catalina, and update or change personal information as required. To obtain a copy of the personal information, please contact the Catalina Privacy Officer using the contact details in the ‘Contact’ section. As a security measure, Catalina may require personal identification from you to verify your identity before providing this information to you.

Complaints

If you have any questions or concerns about our collection, use or disclosure of personal information, or if you believe we have not complied with this Policy or the Act, please contact us. Our Privacy Officer will investigate the complaint and determine whether a breach has occurred and what action, if any, is to be taken.

Catalina will take any privacy complaint seriously and will aim to resolve any such complaint in a timely and efficient manner. Catalina will use procedures that deal fairly and promptly with your complaint. However, if you remain dissatisfied, you can also make a formal complaint with the Officer of the Australian Information Commissioner (which is the regulator responsible for privacy in Australia).

Catalina reserves the right to review this Privacy Policy at any time to take account of new laws, technology, changes to our operations and work practices and the business environment.
